No Sound / Kein Ton
Congratulations on a great piece of stable software. Having stumbled across DboxTv recently I have to say I really enjoy running the application, and find it too be much more stable and fully featured then something like WinGrabTv or Steamme. However I am running into the problem of no sound on certain encrypted channels. Its is not a consistent effect as some encrypted channels do stream sound whereas others do not. I am using ucode 014 and turned PMT update off but still no joy. Any chance of some help?

Hi,
first, I like the german translation...laughed a lot!
Well, sky channels and also mtv are known for no soundplayback.
This is a stream problem from the box, and vlc will not fix this on their side!
There is no workaround, as far as I know!

Well I didnt want to be rude and presume you spoke English.
Now that news is bloody annoying as I do really like this software. Do yo possibly know what differing approach those other programs use that doesn't resort in this problem?
I think other software have builtin workarounds for this problem.
The vlc developers don't want to support wrong formats or wrong input streams!
You can only download the vlc source and fix this problem for yourself, or search for the reason why the stream is in a bad format.
Sad but true...
