international characters in epg
first of all, tx DsChAeK for this great program i would like to ask you if there is any chance to support international characters in epg other then german ones? on my db2 i have some fonts which allows me to see polish characters on polish channels, but i'm not able to force dboxtv to show me polish characters in epg display (german works fine) - any chance for a future to change characters encoding in settings?
Hi rezmus,
well, can you send me an example of your epg data?
You can get epg info over your browser:
first get channel id of your current polish channel
http://dboxip/control/zapto
then call epg data -> replace 43700016d6e
http://dboxip/control/epg?xml=true&channelid=43700016d6e&details=true&max=500
Save it as an xml file and email me.
I'll look for it!
greets,
DsChAeK

Well, I tested your xml file with dboxTV and it looks in EPG-Display exactly like in the XML-File.
So it seems that your box is using wrong encoding, I cannot judge it, for me it looks like chinese
If you look in the XML Header you can find "encoding="iso-8859-1"
Unfortunately this seems not enough for polish (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8859-1#Verwendung).
I think you have to tell your box to use e.g. UTF-8!?
